Committing yourself to a body of believers is a weighty, but wonderful thing. Three things happen when a person becomes a covenant member of Substance Church. 1. They are committing to a spiritual family that provides them with love, encouragement and support. 2. They are committing to joyfully and sacrificially serving their brothers and sisters. 3. The elders and leaders of Substance Church commit to assist our members with care, counsel, prayer and teaching.
This is where we take a deep dive and unpack some of the theological distinctives we hold to as a church.
We will ask you some questions about yourself and the story of how God saved you. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and become baptized if you have not already!
The final step in becoming a member is to meet with a leader. We will explain our membership covenant, listen to the story of how God saved you, answer any questions you might have and then ask you to sign the covenant. Once you have fulfilled these requirements, you are a member of Substance Church!
